Harmonics Reduction using a Modified Controller for Doubly Fed Induction Generator

This paper discusses a control system for the converter of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) driven by wind energy. The DFIG consists two main parts; rotor side (RSC) and grid (GSC). Two advanced methods GSC are presented here in this paper; vector strategy based on pulse width modulation (PWM) direct power (DPC). DPC is switching table voltage selection. In addition to position, quadrature current components used as inputs instead active reactive powers respectively. proposes modified reduce ripples total harmonic distortion (THD) produced GSC.
